The 4th Scientific Meeting of GDR RNA took place in Montpellier on June 14 and 15, 2023


The best oral presentation award went to Francesco Panei from Massimiliano Bonomi’s team at Institut Pasteur (Paris).

Francesco is a physicist graduated in the University of Rome La Sapienza. He is currently working on a PhD project aiming to build a computational drug design pipeline applied to RNA molecules in Massimilano Bonomi’s team. He has a keen interest in research applied to fields of high impact on public issues, with a comprehensive theoretical background that includes statistical mechanics, condensed matter physics, particle physics and general relativity and with a particular propensity for logic and IT tools.


The best poster presentation award went to Louna Fruchard from Zeynep Baharoglu’s team at Institut Pasteur (Paris).

Louna Fruchard studied microbiology and genetics at Sorbonne University. She is currently working on her PhD in the Bacterial Genome Plasticity laboratory at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, under the supervision of Zeynep Baharoglu. Louna studies the role of tRNA modifications in the adaptation of bacteria to environmental stress, and mainly works on Vibrio cholerae.
